Currently all in pasture, a non-residential circa 38-acre parcel at Ballyoliver, Rathvilly, Co Carlow, goes to auction next week.

In the main, the lands are of excellent quality. However, there is a small portion in need of drainage work, according to John Dawson of REA Dawson, Tullow, who is handling the sale.

The lands are all in one block and bound the River Slaney. It comes with ample road frontage and has been rented for the past number of years with both cattle and sheep grazing the pastures. Silage has also been made on a considerable portion of the property.

The property is located on the main Tullow to Rathvilly road and is within walking distance of Rathvilly village.

The entire comes with a guide price of approximately €300,000 or just under €7,900/acre, with good interest being shown by local farmers so far.

The lands will go for public auction on Thursday next, 3 August, at the offices of REA Dawson, Tullow.
