There has been good interest in this non-residential farm, according to selling agent Joseph Coogan. Located at Ballypickas, Abbeyleix, Co Laois, the farm is laid out in one impressive block of circa 90 acres. This parcel is located approximately two miles from Abbeyleix and 11 miles from Castlecomer.

The farm will be presented at auction in three separate lots which may appeal greatly to local farmers. The first lot of circa 48.5 acres comes with extensive road frontage and is divided into three large fields. The second lot of circa 41.5 acres practically surrounds the first lot and is also divided into three fields, this lot comes with excellent access provided by a laneway.

Elsewhere, a circa 57.5-acre residential farm has recently come to the market at Glen West, Cape Clear Island, Skibbereen, west Cork. A unique island holding, the lands are of mixed quality, with some suitable for grazing.

The property is being offered in the entire or in two separate lots. The first lot includes the residence on circa 1.5 acres while lot two makes up the remaining 56 acres.

The residence is a traditional three-bed detached stone-built farmhouse originally constructed in 1885. The house has been maintained in excellent condition. The farm is for sale by private treaty and Hodnett Forde Property Services is handling the sale. It comes with a guide price of €300,000.
