Flying the flag for Meath

Meath singer Liam Mannering is on a roll, with plenty of appearances both at home and abroad. Shamrock City is the new album from Liam and the 14-track collection was produced by Brian Kerrigan in Harmony Studios in Letterkenny. A video of the title track has featured on the various Sky country channels over the last few months. The new album is distributed by IrishMusic.co.uk.

Michael’s album in support of Tuam Cancer Care

A night in support of Tuam Cancer Care will be hosted in the Ard Rí Hotel in Tuam on 27 November. The concert will mark the launch of Michael O’Gara’s album, Welcome to My World. The €20 ticket includes a copy of the album.

Jammin’ for Jim

A concert in memory of Jim Quinn will be held in the Dalton Inn Hotel in Claremorris on 28 November. Jim hailed from the Ballinderreen area of Co Galway and was a member of a prominent hurling family in that parish. The show features a great lineup and proceeds from the night are in support of Mayo-Roscommon Hospice Palliative Care Services and admission is €10.

Shauna is blue jean queen

Tyrone country singer Shauna McStravock’s new single, Blue Jean Country Queen, is going down a treat. The song is taken from her forthcoming album. Shauna can be messaged on Facebook in relation to booking enquiries.

Denver for Corofin concert

Mike Denver and his band will play a Christmas Concert in St Colman’s Church, Corofin, Co Galway, on Tuesday 8 December. This special show is in association with Corofin Community Development Association and local projects in the area.
