The Zurich Insurance All-Ireland Limousin Heifer finals took place at Cappamore show last Saturday.
The Judge for the finals was Banbridge breeder Jim Quail, owner of the esteemed Lynderg herd. Pauline Power of Zurich Insurance presented the prizes to the winners. It was said that all the heifers competing for these classes were of a very high standard.
The finals are divided into three classes: senior, intermediate and junior. The senior heifer class was for heifers born on or between 1 January 2012 and 31 August 2012 and was won by Carwin Hillery from the herd of Dan Tynan. In second place was Roundhill HGiroflee 1865 ET from the herd of Tim Corridan.

The intermediate heifer class was for heifers born on or between 1 September 2012 and 31 December 2012 and was won by Elite Hostess ET from Edward Tynan with Ardnacrusha Hilarious ET from Donal Moloney coming in second place.
The junior heifer class was for heifers born on or between 1 January 2013 and 31 August 2013 and was won by Roundhill I Unamine 1440 from Tim Corridan, with Baileys Iceprincess from Connell Brothers in second place.
