The programme blends action learning, through a year-long, fully funded, foreign industry placement, with a block-release academic business education programme. The intensive 12-month action-learning fellowship gives successful candidates the combined opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with some of Ireland’s leading food companies and also gain a Masters degree from UCD’s Smurfit Business school.

The two key elements of the programme are outlined as follows:

  • In-market placement with Bord Bia clients (based overseas) early-August 2016 to June 2017.
  • Block release academic programme (based in Ireland). Mid-June to early-August 2016; pre-Easter 2017.
  • Applicants should have a minimum of two or three years’ work experience and some placements will require fluency in a second language. There are 20 to 25 places available on this programme and successful applicants will have 100% of tuition fees paid, as well as a €22,800 bursary.

More details are available on the Smurfit Business School’s website and the deadline for applications is 5 March 2016.
