The wind warning is in place for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo. Met Éireann says it will be "extremely windy" from Saturday afternoon through to early Sunday morning.

Southwest winds will reach speeds 65 to 80km/h with gusts of 110 km/h. Those living in coastal areas can expect guts of 130km/h.

A yellow wind warning has been issued for Dublin, Kildare, Longford, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Westmeath, Meath, Roscommon, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Waterford

Winds in these areas will reach 50 to 60 km/h with gusts of over 90km/h. Exposed areas may see guts of up to 110km/h.
