While the new Audi A4 will not be arriving here until November, Audi Ireland has announced pricing details for the new car. The entry prices for the Audi A4 1.4TFSI 150hp Attraction model start at €35,800.

This new Audi A4 is claimed to up to 120kg lighter than the previous model and is more fuel efficient. Novel features include inductive phone charging, Audi virtual cockpit and Audi lane assist. There will be three equipment lines with Xenon headlights featured as standard on all models, Attraction, SE and S Line.

For the first time, each individual equipment line will have different styled bumpers to further highlight the individual trims. 17-inch 10-spoke alloys are standard on the Attraction line model, while SE and S Line versions upgrade to 17-inch parallel 5-spoke and 18-inch 10-spoke v-design alloys, respectively.

There will be six engine options; two TFSI and four TDI conforming to EU6 emissions standards. Audi claims that their power output has increased significantly over the previous model and ranges from 150bhp to 272bhp, while fuel consumption has been reduced by up to 21%.

The A4 2.0 TDI claims a fuel consumption of 27km/litre (3.7l/100km) with CO2 emissions of 95 grams per kilometre. This new Audi A4 is claimed to be up to 120kgs lighter than the previous model, allowing it to claim to be the lightest and most fuel efficient in its class.

The new Audi A4 SE and S Line trims feature an optional Technology Pack which includes MMI Navigation plus, the Audi virtual cockpit and Audi connect, allowing passengers to go online via an on-board Wi-Fi hotspot with elegant and intuitive controls. The new Audi phone box connects smartphones to the on-board antenna while wirelessly charging your phone.

With safety in mind, the Audi Smartphone interface allows you to control third-party apps, like Facebook or Twitter, from buttons on the steering wheel or via Audi’s latest “touch-to-talk” voice control system. The Technology Pack is priced from an additional €2,500.
