One more good week would wrap up the harvest if we could get it.

At this point yield losses are inevitable and quality is deteriorating in the broken weather. There may be some chance of half-decent weather in the coming days but perhaps not where there is most to be cut in western and northern counties.

Straw

Straw could still be awkward to get as it takes more drying in the shorter days.

There are now many fields where access is being delayed due to the presence of straw.

While things may not yet be as bad as this time last year it is still very serious for those with any amount of crops still to cut (and for some that’s 100% of their area).
