The 40th anniversary of the death of one of opera’s most enigmatic figures, Maria Callas, will be celebrated at the National Concert Hall on 17 September.

Celebrating Callas offers a fascinating insight into the private life of the renowned sprano, focusing on her doomed love affair with Greek shipping billionaire Aristotle Onassis and her bitter rivalry with Jackie Kennedy-Onassis. Playing Callas is Irish soprano Máire Flavin. The show is written and produced by Niall Morris and is the most popular opera-themed show ever to be staged at the National Concert Hall.
