The best of Irish and international writing will be celebrated at the Waterford Writers Weekend from 7 to 10 May. Speakers include co-authors of The Daughterhood Roisin Ingle and Natasha Fennell, and Waterford author Karen Power. For kids there will be a free arts and crafts event at The Book Centre, and a free workshop to create their own island paradise with author Sarah Webb (pictured) at the library reference room on 9 May. For author’s struggling with writer’s block, www.writing.ie founder Vanessa Fox O’Loughlin is holding a workshop entitled Filling The Blank Page, which costs €10.
