Bertram Allen’s unstoppable form continued last weekend at the four-star show in Wiesbaden, Germany. With his new ride High Valley he went top of the line in Saturday’s 1.50m Lotto Preis. He had to beat Lauren Haugh’s (USA) time of 68.80 and that he achieved in 68.46 to score his fourth major win in the last fortnight.

Bertram’s next important outing comes this weekend, when he and Molly Molone will be part of the Irish team bidding for Furusiyya points in the Swiss Nations Cup at St Gallen.

Joining him there are Cian O’Connor, Darragh Kenny, Shane Breen and Greg Broderick. Also last weekend, Cameron Hanley was back in the winner’s circle as he took a class at the Polish show in Ciekocinko on Ikketiska.
