It was all about the search for a new IFA boss last week but this week the excitement focuses on the people who promote our food abroad.
An Bord Bia announced earlier this year that incumbent CEO Aidan Cotter would be retiring early in 2017. However, the food board wants to have someone in place well in advance of Cotter riding off into the sunset.
I’m reliably informed that the process is moving on well and indeed a second round of interviews has taken place.

Some big names you would expect to have seen on the list did not make it to the second round, which came as a shock to The Dealer. Maybe Bord Bia is looking outside for a new boss.
Cotter will like to be remembered for the establishment of his pet project Origin Green as well as overseeing the growth of Irish food exports from €7.1bn to €10.8bn.
