Following last week’s announcement by Cadbury-owner Mondelez that it will restructure its manufacturing in Ireland, Deirdre Harte, corporate affairs manager with Mondelez Ireland, said it is unlikely to impact on milk volumes used in its Rathmore plant in Co Kerry.
Harte reiterated to the Irish Farmers Journal that that the planned €5m investment in Rathmore announced last year is continuing.
Mondelez buys about 70m litres of Irish milk every year, from the Kerry Group, Boherbue and Lee Strand.
