The move follows the decision by Glanbia and Lakeland over the weekends to hold their November milk price.

The board of the Carbery Group has announced it has cut its October milk price by 1c/litre for November supplies which effectively would take net milk price to 24.7 c/litre excluding VAT at 3.3% protein and 3.6% fat.

The news of a cut by Carbery, which is made up of the west Cork co-ops Lisavaird, Bandon, Barryroe and Drinagh, follows the announcements over the weekend from the boards of Lakeland Dairies and Glanbia to hold their respective milk prices.
