Last Friday, Irish Country Living editor Mairead Lavery was in Nenagh to help celebrate 50 years of country markets in the town.
It was there she met Alice Wallace (pictured) with a marvellous display of sweet peas. Alice has been supplying the market for 20 years and her speciality is cut flowers. At this time of year its sweet pea, dahlias and heleniums but she is able to supply flowers for nine months of the year.
The market has just eight active along with some seasonal producers. Everything presented must be sold, made or crafted by members.Happy 50th birthday Nenagh Country Market.

The market takes place every Friday from 8am in the New Institute Hall, Friar Street Nenagh.
