The company which specialises in animal nutrition products is seeking people to fill its new graduate programme, as well as a sales report manager, maintenance electrician, mill operative and export sales executive at the fair.

“There will be a number of us there on the day and if people have a serious interest in our industry, we are a traditional company with a background in heritage and provide very high-quality products,” Dermot Hynes, group human resources manager at Connolly’s Red Mills, explains.

The graduate programme, which has just launched this year, gives the opportunity for recent graduates to work within key areas of the business including manufacturing, sales, marketing and finance and IT.

Connolly’s Red Mills is looking for a graduate with a specialism in pet nutritional support, and another in equine nutritional support. Both of these positions are based in Goresbridge, Kilkenny.

The company is also looking for someone to fill a graduate position at its associated business, Foran, in Dublin.

Listen to “Over 1,200 jobs on offer at the Agri Careers fair” on Spreaker.

“This individual will learn all aspects of the business, like export sales and the workings of the company,” Dermot says.

He explains that the roles the company is recruiting for are challenging to fill because some are so specialised.

“It is hard to find people who have the right technical background, especially with the equine and pet nutrition graduates. We are looking for someone who is heading towards a 2.1, though this is not required and who has a BSc in equine science or pet and animal nutrition.

“Someone with a veterinary background would also be good because they will have studied animal anatomy,” Dermot adds.

The graduate programme is two years in duration and the company urges that by working hard and being involved on some key projects along the way, you will be rewarded with a competitive salary and the opportunity to develop a rewarding career path.

“We look forward to seeing everyone at the Agri Careers Fair and if you are interested in applying for a role with us, bring along your CV,” Dermot enthuses.
