Save on your Sun Holiday

Not impressed by the Irish rain? Looking for a sunny break away? The last-minute holiday market is hotting up and we’ve found a great way to help you find the cheapest deal.

ClickandGo.com’s Deal Finder is a new online tool that allows bargain hunters to search across the most popular sun and city destinations to find the best travel deals in the next 30 days – or by month of travel if you’re not flying away until later in the year.

It can save you over €100 per person, as it does all the work for you in finding the cheapest holiday destination. You can select your sun holiday or city break in the month you plan to travel and it will return the full deal, including flights, accommodation and transfers. You can also filter based on destination, property types and star ratings to find the deal that suits you best.

Paul Hackett, co-founder and CEO of ClickandGo.com says, contrary to popular belief, there are still hundreds of thousands of holidays left for this summer. “With all the additional scheduled airline capacity, there are plenty of seats left to be filled and there are some great deals out there.”

While you won’t find anything in the likes of €300 or €400, you could get away in July for less than €600. “My top tip for sun worshippers is to look at the Canary Islands in July for best value. There is still lots of availability for Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, the Algarve and Fuerteventura, with unbeatable prices via the Deal Finder tool.”

Virgin Media Go Mobile

More mobile providers on the market mean more competition and, hopefully, cheaper prices for consumers. And Virgin Media has just launched its range of mobile phones, featuring brands including the Apple iPhone 6s, Samsung Galaxy S7 and Sony Xperia X. Its 4G coverage is up to 10 times faster than 3G and comes at no extra cost.

However, it’s their Freestyle contract that gives consumer some flexibility. You can choose your plan, phone and contract length, which range from 12 to 24 months.

You can also change your plan up or down any month and upgrade your phone whenever you want, and without penalty by paying off what you owe on your current handset.

Your monthly bill will be divided in two each month displaying one figure for your phone and one figure for your plan, making things very transparent.

Their launch offers includes the Apple iPhone 6s 16GB and the Samsung Galaxy S7 from €190 upfront, and €35 a month for the first 4 months, and €50 thereafter – on a 24-month contract. This includes unlimited 4G data, calls and texts.
