Country Crest have opened a new farmshop and artisan butchers in Dublin, creating 10 jobs.
The new shop in Jones' Garden Centre, Donabate is the first in a series of franchised farmshops and artisan butchers to be opened by the agri-food business. The shop was opened this week by Dublin GAA stars Paul Flynn, Ger Brennan and Ciaran Kilkenny.
As well as stocking locally produced meat, fruit and vegetables, there will be a range of artisanal food from confectionary to sauces and marinades and niche wines.

Speaking of the new venture, Michael Hoey, Managing Director of Country Crest said he was excited about the move into retail. "There are so many fantastic suppliers of great products here and there is something here for every taste," he said.
