Camillus is Singin’ the Legends

Singin’ The Legends is the new album from Mullingar singer Camillus Egerton. The Westmeath man is a popular singer on the regional circuit in that part of the upper midlands.

The new album features 12 country classics, including Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain, The Cowboy Rides Away, Take Your Memory With You, Second Handed Flowers and Rainy Days and Stormy Nights.

“I recorded this album as a reflection of my lifelong admiration for the legends of country music and as a tribute to great singers and songwriters,” says Camillus.

“I fell in love with country music from a very young age listening to great country legends like Johnny Cash, Porter Wagoner, George Jones, Merle Haggard, George Strait and Dwight Yoakam. This is my third album and it was recorded and produced by Des Sheerin in his studios in Tang.”

The album was launched at a major show in the Greville Arms Hotel last Tuesday night, where Camillus was joined by a host of guest singers, as well as the Sheerin Family Band, who provided the backing for all the artists.
