The Irish Farmers Journal understands that Bord na Móna CEO Gabriel D’Arcy is set to leave the semi-state company to join an agri-food company, just days after announcing Bord na Móna’s results.
While there has been no confirmation regarding D’Arcy’s next job, two companies have been touted as potential destinations for him. Reports have linked D’Arcy with the recently advertised CEO position at Town of Monaghan Co-op as well as an unnamed position with United Dairy Farmers.
Informed sources told the Irish Farmers Journal that an announcement could be made as early as Friday.

D’Arcy served as a business director with the Kerry Group for 12 years before joining BNM in 2001. He was appointed its CEO in February 2008. Prior to the Kerry Group, he served in the Irish defence forces.
