Following a meeting of the board of Dairygold, the co-op has decided to raise the November base milk price by 1c/l. The final figure includes a quality bonus of 0.5c/l. This brings the co-op’s milk price for November to 27.6c/l excluding VAT.
All co-ops that have set November milk prices so far have increased prices. Lakeland has increased its milk price by 2c/l for November to 27.75c/l (excluding VAT) based on protein of 3.3% and fat of 3.6%.
Glanbia Ingredients Ireland has increased its base milk price to 27.5c/l (excluding VAT). The board of Glanbia Co-op has decided to pay its members a support payment of 1c/l for November manufacturing and liquid milk supplies bringing the November price to 28.45c/l (excluding VAT).

Carbery went up by 1c/l for November milk, as did Kerry bringing their price to 27.5c/l (excluding VAT).
Meanwhile, the IFA have said that Irish dairy processors need to follow other European processors in passing back dairy market returns to producers to reach a 30c/l milk price by the end of the year.
