the 2016 payment will commence once all required GLAS inspections have been completed”.
However, the Department has yet to provide clarity with regard to the some 1,000 farmers of the some 3,300 farmers who will not receive a GLAS payment.

Last week, Agriculture Minister Michael Creed revealed that a “substantial number” of the farmers who are waiting for GLAS I and II payments may never receive their money. A spokesman for the Department said “only farmers who have not fulfilled the requirements [of the scheme] will not be paid”.
