The salary scale for this position is €54,500 to €88,841 and the positions are located right across the country in the Department’s 16 regional offices, in various meat plants and ports, and in headquarters in Dublin/Backweston. Candidates may select up to three geographical regions on their application and rank them in order of preference. A master’s degree (or higher) in a veterinary subject or a degree/qualification in any other relevant subject is described as a desirable requirement, as is work experience in veterinary practice, education industry or state body. Auditing skills are also a desirable requirement.

Applications should be made online through www.publicjobs.ie. The closing date for applications is Thursday 3 November at 3pm.

Candidates must create an account on www.publicjobs.ie before they can apply for the positions.

Interviews for these posts are likely to be held in November/December 2016.
