Deutz-Fahr will present a new range of conventionally built tractors in 2018, according to a spokesman at their recent factory opening. These will have TTV continuously variable transmission and up to 440hp. There will be three models – 11350 TTV, 11400 TTV and 11440 TTV, giving out 350hp, 400hp and 440hp respectively, making them the biggest and most powerful tractors Deutz-Fahr has ever produced.

The new tractors will be powered by MTU engines with the two smaller tractors powered by a 10.6-litre version and the range-topper being powered by a 12.6-litre lump.

The TTV constantly variable gearboxes will be sourced from ZF specifically to make full use of the power available. The tyre possibilities include a set of 900/65R46 on the rear, giving a diameter of 2.3m. These tyres will be required to support the unladen weight of between 18t and 22t.

The range will come with a 700-litre fuel tank and 70-litre Ad Blue tank. Although there may not be a huge market for this size of tractor in our country, it is good to see manufacturers expanding their ranges.
