Farmers are to finally benefit from a lift in weather, which is forecast for the week ahead. For a change, western counties are expected to share the good conditions.

Met Éireann is expecting that no significant rain will fall in the southwest and southeast over the next seven days. Just a small amount of rain is forecast for the west and northwest for the middle of next week.

The east and northeast will get a small amount of rain today, but then it will become dry. A dry spell will let farmers progress with the grain harvest and allow the land to dry out.
