The Bring Jamey Home Trust will host a major dance in Racket Hall, Roscrea, on Tuesday, 9 September. The venture is in support of country singer Louise Morrissey’s nephew, who took seriously ill while in Thailand. Joining Louise on the night will be Jimmy Buckley, Patrick Feeney, Crystal Swing, The Davitt Country Band, Gerry Guthrie, Matt Leavy, Trevor Loughrey, Shunie Crampsey, The Ryan Turner Band and many others.

Talulah is the new release from Aidan Quinn. The uptempo song was written by Candy Murphy from Kerry, whose flair for originality is in full bloom in recent months. Streets of Promise and The Empty Room have been recorded by the family band. Aiden is thrilled with the response to the song, which is very much in the vintage Kenny Rogers style.

Dave Sherriff has released a new 20-track album entitled Let’s Dance. All the songs are from the pen of Dave who has been a central player on the UK country circuit for many years.

Mayo singer Michael John Ruddy returns to the scene with a new seven-track CD. The title track, Song for Philomena, is based on the book and film about Philomena Lee. The other tracks feature some country standards as well as an instrumental version of The Wildwood Flower.

Back in Baby’s Arms is the new single from the Benn Sisters. It is taken from their new album, A Woman’s Heart, which is due for release this week.

Des Willoughby and Mary Byrne take their show to the Royal Theatre in Castlebar on Saturday night, 6 September. They have already performed at a number of concert shows around the country and have plans for other shows in the months ahead.
