This week, New Holland launched what it claims is the biggest combine harvester on the European market, the new CR10.90 model. The new combine, launched in Germany, is powered by a 652hp FTP Cursor 16 engine that has a Tier 4B emission rating. This is the first combine to enter the class 10 segment in Europe, determined by engine power. It can operate a header up to 12.5m (40ft) wide.

The new twin-rotor combine harvester claims up to 15% more productivity in cereal grains and grain crackage levels as low as 0.2% compared with current models.

The grain tank capacity is 14,500 litres and combined with a fast auger unloading speed of up to 142 litres/second, this combine is designed for high-output grain farming.

New Holland claims that its ECOBlue engine technology delivers fuel savings and reduces running costs, while the combine comes with a massive 1,300-litre fuel tank.
