Chef of the Year Ireland

Dublin chef Farid Derradji has been named Aramark’s Chef of the Year Ireland. Farid has 24 years’ experience cooking at a top-class level. He is no stranger to winning competitions after previously being crowned Chef of the Year in the UK.

Farid, who is currently working in Symantec, has also worked in O2Telefonica, PWC, and Oracle over the last 10 years, as well as being part of the Season’s team at The Guinness Storehouse.

The Irish competition, which was held in the RDS this year, is Ireland’s biggest food, drink and hospitality event. The judging panel included award-winning and Michelin-star chef Ross Lewis from Dublin’s Chapter One Restaurant.

Aramark culinary director Derek Reilly said: “Competitions like this give our chefs an opportunity to demonstrate their passion for food. We are delighted with the extremely high standard of all the dishes, and Farid was the most deserving winner.”
