The insurer has turned around and made a pre-tax profit of €11m last year. Former chief executive Andrew Langford, who resigned in July 2015, received fees of €179,300 in 2016. John O’Grady, FBD’s chief financial officer, received €184,000 from July to December 2016. FBD chair Michael Berkery, who is set to retire at next month’s AGM on 7 May after 20 years at the helm, received fees of €127,000. Sean Dorgan, who is chair of the remuneration committee and the audit committee, received fees of €100,000. Other directors Liam Herlihy and Padraig Walshe received fees of €47,000 and €45,000, respectively.
