Between farming and working, running a home, caring for children or parents and dealing with everything else life throws at us, women rarely take time to recognise or celebrate their own successes. So Irish Country Living is set to recognise these achievements with our FBD Women & Agriculture Awards.

This biannual awards, now running for the third time, celebrates the essential role women play on farms.

We have three categories to enter. In our Innovation On-Farm Award, we are looking for women who are farming on their own or in partnership, whose contribution has been essential to the success and profitability of the farm.

For the Agribusiness and Innovation Award, we are searching for a woman who looked at the farm and saw immense opportunity through diversification, making a success of that business idea.

Finally, the winner of our Lifetime Achievement Award will follow in the big steps taken by previous winners, Myrtle Allen and Anna May McHugh.

We are looking for a lady that has dedicated her life to agriculture and has made a real impact in that time. Are you one of those women or do you know someone who fits the bill? If so, send us your nomination so we can recognise and celebrate those achievements.
