With a cold week and the bulk of silage ground covered, this week saw the demand for fertiliser slowing. Suppliers from around the country have told the Irish Farmers Journal that prices have not changed much in the last week.

CAN is cheapest in the east of the country at €250/t. In the south and west, prices are around €260/t, reaching up to €270/t in the northwest. Those in the south are picking up 18-6-12 for €345/t, with farmers in the west and northwest paying €360/t.

Pasture sward is trading at €360/t on average, with Cut Sward selling for between €310/t to€370/t.
