Farmers buying for grass continue to be active for all types of store bullocks and heifers but lesser quality types are getting lower clearances.

Bulling quality store heifers continue to be snapped up at prices of €2.70/kg to €3.00/kg, while young fleshed slaughter-fit cows continue to make from €1.90/kg to €2.15/kg in many areas.

In the main, fleshed continental cows are selling from €1.90/kg to €2.15/kg for top-quality young U grades.
