Lakeland Dairies is the first co-op out of the blocks this month to set a milk price for December supplies.

First co-op sets milk price for December

Lakeland Dairies has held its price for December milk at 34.62c/l, excluding VAT.

The price includes a 1c/l butter bonus, the same as the November milk price.

It is the first co-op to set a milk price for December supplies.

Ornua PPI

On Thursday, Ornua announced a purchase price index (PPI) of 111.3 for December, which fell from the 115.0 PPI in November.

The index is now back at the level observed last August, after peaking in October.
