Dairy Fleckvieh Simmentals marked the end of a battle within the Simmental Society at the Ploughing.

There was resistance last year to proposals that the world’s second largest dairy breed be allowed on to the herd book.

However, the discussion was moved on, and Fleckvieh can now be registered in a new Dairy Fleckvieh section of the Simmental herd book.
