From the Beginning concert tour

John Hogan is gearing up for a five-date concert tour over the coming month. From the Beginning will see John relate his story from the outset up until today. He will be joined by various guest artists at the shows, including Paddy O’Brien, Tony Kerr, Carmel Sheerin, Bernie Heaney, Camillus Egerton, Gary Gamble and Keelan. You can see John in concert at The Park Hotel, Midleton, Cork, on 14 October; Túar Árd Theatre, Moate, on 15 October; The Millennium Centre, Caherconlish, Limerick, on 21 October; the Brú Ború Theatre, Cashel, on 28 October; and The Lodge Hotel, Coleraine, on 4 November.

Olivia’s big night in Moate

Olivia Douglas from Ferbane will launch her debut album, Another Heartache, in The Well in Moate on Tuesday 13 October. This is a special night for Olivia and all her family and friends. She is an All-Ireland champion piano accordion player and has impressed so many on the Fleadh Cheoil circuit over the last few years. Country music has always had a special place in her heart and this album reflects that deep appreciation of this genre of music. Joining Olivia as guests on the night will be Robert Mizzell, Simon Casey and Carmel McLoughlin. A great night is assured in Moate on Tuesday night.

A Tribute to Margo on Irish TV

Irish TV Sky 191 will present A Tribute to Margo at the Great Northern Hotel in Bundoran on Thursday 8 October. The two-hour special will feature interviews with Margo O’Donnell and various friends from the music business. The Donegal singer began her long career in showbusiness back in the 1960s, while still a teenager. The show will take a look back at her career over the decades. Malachi Cush will be the host.
