Best wishes to Michael Fahy

FTMTA send best wishes to our former colleague Michael Fahy on the occasion of his marriage to Sinead on Friday 8 July. Michael left the Association in late 2015 to take up a role with Arrabawn Co-op in his home town of Athenry. We hope that Michael and Sinead will enjoy a very happy life together.

Michael Noonan retires

Michael Noonan, who has been head of back office with Pöttinger Ireland Ltd since the Austrian-owned company took over the Irish distribution of their range of machines in 2012, is retiring during July.

Michael was previously employed by Pöttinger importer T Traynor and Sons Ltd before the change in the distribution structure.

FTMTA wishes Michael well on his retirement. Michael is pictured with a group of his colleagues on the Pöttinger stand at the 2013 FTMTA Farm Machinery Show during the presentation of a new product award by then FTMTA president Conor Breen and was heavily involved in organising the substantial Pöttinger presence at recent FTMTA Farm Machinery Show and FTMTA Grass & Muck events.

Farm machinery show

The exhibitor application pack for next year’s FTMTA Farm Machinery Show will be issued during August and will automatically be sent to all exhibitors at the most recent FTMTA events. Any firm which did not exhibit at an FTMTA event in 2015 or 2016 but which is interested in exhibiting at next year’s Show should contact FTMTA on admin@ftmta.ie or at 045 409 309 to be included in the circulation of the exhibitor pack. In keeping with the association’s ethos, for both FTMTA Grass & Muck and the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show, only stands from genuinely agriculture-focused businesses will be accepted. The show is Ireland’s premier farm machinery event and will return to Punchestown Racecourse near Naas on 9, 10 and 11 February, continuing the highly successful Thursday, Friday and Saturday format of recent years. The FTMTA Farm Machinery Show is Ireland’s largest dedicated farm machinery event and is also the largest indoor agricultural event in Ireland, attracting some 18,750 visitors in 2015.
