Glanbia offer new fixed price scheme to suppliers for the next 18 months.

Glanbia Ingredients Ireland (GII) is offering a new fixed-price milk scheme. The scheme will have a base price of 30.25c/litre (inc VAT) and will run from January 2016 to the end of June 2017.
This period will encompass the peak production period for the next two years. Uptake is likely to be strong. The three previous fixed-price schemes have seen over 1bn litres or up to 20% of farmers’ milk locked in.
For the first time, the scheme also will give farmers the option to fix the price now for concentrates from Glanbia Agribusiness that will be delivered and paid for between August and December 2016.

Any price support top-up will be paid in addition to the fixed price.
GII said that the Scheme would be open to all its suppliers in the Republic of Ireland that have signed a Milk Supply Agreement (MSA).
