The Macra/FBD Farmskills title will pass from Caheragh, Carbery to Glanmire, Seandun, but will remain in Cork for 2017 after Glanmire fought off the challenge of Kilmeen Macra, Carbery, who finished second and Portlaoise Macra in third. Fermoy Macra, Avondhu, won the safety award.

Speaking afterwards, Macra na Feirme president James Healy said: ‘‘This was a fantastic final, once again a major attraction for crowds at the Tullamore Show. Well done to all teams who took part and the great display of skill and effort they had on show. I’d also like to thank FBD and WR Shaw for their continuing support of this competition and the Tullamore Show for hosting the event.’’
