GMIT (which was deemed Institute of Technology of the Year 2015 by The Sunday Times) is where it’s at this week, with an open day taking place tomorrow – Friday 17 October and Saturday 18 October. The campus will be alive as iRadio presenters and promoters are let loose on the college grounds, running giveaways and competitions.
But serious business will be conducted too. A representative from SUSI will be on-site running college finance clinics and students will have the opportunity to attend a variety of workshops reflecting particular disciplines of study in GMIT.
Build a Software App, Film Screenings, Pancakes Anyone, Build a Satellite in a Can and Still Life Sketching are some of the many random workshops taking place over the two days.

There will also be CAO and career path talks on a range of disciplines, an exhibition showcasing the various departments and programmes, and information stands about all aspect of student life, such as the range of student services, finance, accommodation, work placements and international study opportunities.
