Clifden Community Arts Festival

15-25 September: Enjoy the music and performances being showcased at the 39th Clifden Community Arts Festival in Connemara, Co Galway. There will be a diverse and exciting line-up of artists and performers at the 10-day festival. The festival will also feature a number of theatre displays, poetry performances, renowned eateries, famous writers and traditional pubs. Tickets cost €10. Portumna Shorelines Arts Festival 2016

15-18 September: The ninth Shorelines Arts Festival takes place in Portumna, Co Galway. There will be a wide variety of arts events taking place such as theatre, music, poetry, art, film and a children’s programme. The festival showcases excellent pieces of art work from community art groups in Portuma, and the festival encourages local artists to showcase their work. The Beatles: Eight days a week

17 September: For those who are fans of The Beatles, there is a new film hitting the big screen at the Dublin Light House cinema. The Beatles: Eight days a week will depict the story of one of the most successful bands in the world. The film will explore the lives of each of the four musical stars and will examine the extent of their worldwide success. The film will also feature behind-the-scenes stories and will look at the not-so-glamorous aspects of being incredible musical sensations.
