Jake Carter

11 November: New on the Irish music scene – but already making his mark – Jake Carter brings his first-ever nationwide tour to Dolan’s Warehouse in Limerick. Brother of Nathan Carter, Jake has music in his veins and has so far released three singles: Wild and Free, Trouble and Having a Party. 15 November: One of Ireland’s best-loved and most iconic singers, Mike Denver brings his country sound to the Celtic Ross Hotel in Cork. The Portumna Powerhouse is popular as ever and fans are sure to be treated to some firm favourites, such as Rockabilly, Tommy K, Galway Girl and Hills of Donegal. This year Mike celebrated his 13th year in the entertainment industry and has become known as one of the best acts for dancing, with a two and a half hour high-energy show. Only the Brave

10 November: Only the Brave is dedicated to and tells the true story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, an elite crew of firefighters who fought the Yarnell Hill Fire in 2013. While most people hide from danger, these firefighters ran towards it and forged a unique brotherhood that came into focus on one fateful night. This biographical action drama is directed by Joseph Kosinski and features an ensemble cast of Josh Brolin, Miles Teller, Jeff Bridges, Taylor Kitsch and Jennifer Connelly.

Ross O’Carroll-Kelly

9-11 November: Running at the Gaiety Theatre until Saturday 11 November, Ross O’Carroll-Kelly stars in his own one-man show: Postcards from the Ledge. The play is set in the year 2029, when Ireland is in the middle of an economic boom. Ross is about to turn 50 and life couldn’t be better. Sorcha, his wife, is Taoiseach and his triplet sons are the backbone of the Castlerock College Junior Cup team. Sneem International Storytelling Festival

10-12 November: It’s to the Kingdom for the Sneem International Storytelling Festival, promising a weekend of storytelling, folklore, lectures, story swaps, walks and concerts. The festival routinely attracts storytellers from around Ireland and the globe, including Scotland, Australia, America and Canada, making the festival truly international. With the aim of reviving the old tradition of storytelling, which was for centuries part of the fabric of life on the Iveragh Peninsula, the event provides a wide variety of different activities that are sure to get the imagination running wild.
