John McNicholl will host his annual dancing weekend in the McWilliam Park Hotel in Claremorris. John and band will be joined by Michael English on 31 October. Shawn Cuddy and band, as well as guest singer Martin Ruddy, join John on Saturday. Mary Darcy and Willie O’Keeffe are on Sunday afternoon and John will then close the show.

Community Radio Youghal (CRY) broadcasts a wide range of programmes on 104FM and online. Country music presenters Eileen and Maura Joyce and Margaret Carey were among those representing the station at the launch of Paddy O’Brien’s new album.

The genial Cork man, who presents shows on LTV2 in the Cork-Kerry regions, as well as a Tuesday night show, Radio Treasures, on Cork Music Station (internet), received his award from Communications Minister Alex White.

Donegal singer-songwriter Shunie Crampsey is delighted to see one of his songs recorded by Nashville-based artist T Jae Christian. The American does a fine version on Sometimes It Ain’t Easy Being Me.
