Happy Times is the title of the new album from Michael O’Brien. The 20-track collection features songs recorded by Michael in former times and many of these have not been available on CD format for 20 years or more. The album is sure to be popular in the months ahead.

They gave Johnny Walsh one great send-off down in Cloughjordan. The life-long follower and friend of Big Tom and The Mainliners loved his country music. To the sounds of Big Tom’s song, Going Out The Same Way You Came In, Johnny left Cloughjordan Church as friends and neighbours shared in his final journey. He would have wished for nothing different.

Songs and Poems For Your Pleasure is the title of a new album from Joe McNally. It’s a combination of songs, recitations and poems by the genial Joe, a man who has written extensively about Westport and its characters over the years. His memoir, Westport -The Tear and The Smile, is a great book about Westport and its people.

Waterford singer Mary Prendergast will launch her new album at a gala night in the Abbeyleix Manor Hotel on 31 March 2015. She will be joined by Paddy O’Brien, Kevin Prendergast and more. Tickets will shortly go on sale for this event.

Teresa and The Stars are a local group much in demand in the southeast. Teresa, Andrew and Tony also provide the backing music for many concert acts in this region. Tony Kehoe is a well-known presenter of country shows on South East Radio, based in Wexford.
