The Davitts Country Band from Wexford have just released their album, Put Another Log On The Fire. After a busy weekend of launch gigs, the action swings to the midwest tonight, Thursday 6 November, when they host another launch in the Greenhills Hotel in Limerick. Their guest is Louise Morrissey. The Davitt Country Band have teamed up with Declan Quinn from LCM Promos.

Condolences to Cork singer Annmarie O’Riordan on the death of her grandfather Dan Joe Creedon. Dan Joe was highly regarded in his community and was very proud of the achievements of his granddaughter on the music circuit.

Cork singer Pat Daly will host a launch night for his new album in the Midleton Park Hotel on Saturday 15 November. His guests on the night are Patrick O’Sullivan, Peter Burke, Mary Desmond, Mona, and Conor O’Sullivan. The show starts at 9pm.

Jacinta Gallen (nee McCool) from Ballybofey, who died last week after a long illness, was wife of comedian and singer Conal Gallen. Many people from the country and showbiz scene attended the funeral in Donegal. Jacinta is survived by her husband Conal and family Rory, Trasa, and Ciaran, brothers John and Frank and sisters Veronica, Margaret, Frances and Maura. Condolences to the family.

Well done to Foster and Allen on making the UK charts with the release of the new album, Gold and Silver Days. Mick and Tony have their own one-hour weekly show on Irish TV (Sky 191) and they will undertake a 10-night Irish tour during Christmas and the first week in January with shows in Armagh, Mullingar, Ennis, Charleville, Clonmel, Wexford, Mohill, Trim, Portlaoise and Ballinasloe.
