Irish TV on Sky 191 will host a major two-hour special on Christmas Day. The show was filmed by Frame Productions in Claremorris Town Hall last week. The show features Johnny McEvoy, Dolores Keane, Gene Stuart, Sam O’Doherty, John Hogan, Na Fianna, Eleanor McEvoy, Ciarán Rosney, Annmarie O’Riordan, Susan McCann, Olwyn Murray, Noel V Ginnity, the Redmond Dancers and an interview with Big Tom.

Mary Darcy celebrated 45 years in showbiz with a major night in the Mount Wolsey Hotel, Tullow. She was joined by many friends from the scene for the special festivities. Mary came to prominence as a member of Two’s Company and enjoyed great success on the cabaret scene. She is the Irish coordinator for the Gertie Byrne Caribbean cruises.

Pete Hughes, Letterkenny, launched his 12-track album, Six Days On The Road, in the Dalton Inn Hotel, Claremorris, last weekend. Pete, a retired garda, is a native of Hollymount, Mayo. The album is a fundraiser for the Mayo-Roscommon Hospice.

Charley Pride returns to Ireland in April. The American legend will perform a special show at the Great Northern Hotel, Bundoran. This venture is in association with Aiken Promotions and Showtours. Tickets are now on sale.

Frank McCaffrey was thrilled with the success of his recent weekend celebrations in his hometown of Westport. Friends of Frank’s travelled from various parts of Ireland and Britain, to join in the tributes to one of Ireland’s most respected singers.

It Sure Feels Like Christmas To Me is the new single from Cowboy Larry. The song was composed by BG Pollock from Belfast. Cowboy Larry is currently recording a new album.
