The Taoiseach announced last week he would be cutting short his visit to the US, from two days to one. Other planned events, including the American Ireland Fund dinner, will now be attended by Minister for Foreign Affairs Charlie Flanagan instead.
Minister for Agriculture Simon Coveney cancelled his St Patrick’s Day travel plans to be available for coalition talks.
