Sulky Burel used Agritechnica to announce a number of updates to its X40/X50+ spreaders. Hydraulic drive to both spreading discs is now available as an option.

This allows the operator to maintain a constant disc speed irrespective of engine RPM. The addition of the hydraulic drive solution to the X40/50+ improves performance and user friendliness. Attaching to the tractor is easier, thanks to the two hydraulic valves that have replaced the PTO. Even spreading is achievable in all conditions, as the hydraulic drive ensures constant disc rotation speed when used on uneven ground. Fuel consumption is reduced by spreading with a lower engine speed, lowering the cost of running a high-capacity fertiliser spreader, like the X50+, particularly when coupled to a high-horsepower tractor. The X40+ has a range of 44m and 3,200l capacity while the X50+ can spread to 50m with a 4,200 litre capacity.

On the DX30 and DX 30+ customers can now benefit from the option of Isobus connectivity as already available on the X40/50+ range. Isobus functions including application rate adjustment and section cut-off make it possible to activate the Stop&Go function which drives the automatic opening and closing of shutters.

Half-width spreading is also possible. Isobus connectivity in the DX30 and DX30+ is achieved by the addition of an Isolink converter. This allows connection to a compatible Isobus Universal Terminal, or users can purchase the Sulky Quartz 800 console. The DX30 comes in different hopper sizes with capacities from 1,500 to 3,000 litres and a maximum spread width of 36m.
