How to enhance co-op enterprises in changing economic, social and environmental landscapes will be the focus of the 39th annual Irish Cooperative Organisational Society (ICOS) conference.
The conference will examine the challenges and opportunities facing co-operative producers in an increasingly globalised and environmentally sensitive marketplace.
EU Agriculture Commissioner Phil Hogan will deliver the keynote address and speakers include economist Prof John Fitzgerald, chair of Ireland’s First Advisory Council on Climate Change; David Christensen, UK Dairy farmer and member of the Arla Board of representatives; and Dr Sean Brady, chair of Food Harvest 2020.
