As we report, the IFA this week set out clear ground rules in how it expects vulture funds to engage with farmers.

IFA president Joe Healy has issued a very clear warning that anybody who tries to take on farmers who are genuinely attempting to resolve credit difficulties are taking on the organisation as a whole. It is a strategy that has worked well in the past with the IFA having a long history in staunchly defending farmers’ interests in this area.

Any farmer who is facing difficulties or who has concerns should contact the IFA credit helpline on 1890 924853.
