Mart manager Maurice Brosnan said there has been a slight slip back of 10-15c/kg for plainer dairy-cross stock. There were 140 dry cows on offer and they dominated proceedings today. Prices remained very firm for fleshed cows, with Friesians making €300-400 with their weight, while cull suckler cows made up to €785 over the euro per kilo. Thinner dairy-cross cows were selling for between €1.20/kg and €1.35/kg.
